The inspiration for many paintings come from visits to harbours in the West Country, in Cornwall and Devon and in particular the harbours of Porthleven, Mousehole, and St Ives.

I find the curving ropes and boats, the juxtaposition and interlocking shapes both exciting and stimulating.
